Mowed. Tried to start the weed wacker for the first time this year. Nope. Likely carburetor so I ordered a carb that comes with plug, air, fuel filter and fuel line. 14.75. Not spending 100 plus dollars at the repair shop for a 200 plus dollar weed wacker.
Surprisingly I do not like the root on this Shogoin variety. I use it for deer food plots, greens and the flower buds like broccoli Rab. It is a all-white root Japanese type with a strong flavor. The plus is it lives through the winter then bolts where purple top does not live through the winter...
I up potted some native Lupine = Lupinis Perennis. I got 10 plants from the packet of seed. Pulled weeds and harvested more turnip seed. The rain was about 1 inch and should help my beans germinate. I am replanting tubs that have had flowers transplanted. Coneflower and hollyhock.
I made a bucket of doom for fly larva. I forgot to empty the fish guts Monday. Lots of wiggling in there. A little insecticide in there and doom. Some people do a bucket of doom for mosquitos. A bucket some water a few old leaves and 1/4 of a mosquito dunk.
Rain stopped and sun is coming out. I was anxious to see the colors of hollyhocks I started last year from purchased assorted color seeds. I have been down to only pink. Guess what color the first open flower is. Pink. Hoping for other colors. :fl
Finally got some rain. It is odd how some people perceive scents. What smells good to one person is awful to someone else. I had a friend who thought Lilac's stink, yet I love the smell.
Took my frustrating cell phone in today. I think they got it straightened out. Was making pocket calls, going to dark screen, turned on flashlight.
I went fishing yesterday and had a good catch. First 2 hours were slow but then we found a good spot. Some bluegills still spawning. The spawn is nearly over here.
We had .01 of rain yesterday. Big fuss over nothing. Planted pole beans and bush beans. Transplanted Hollyhock starts and native columbine starts. Pic of mulberries. Just a wild one with good taste.
