I'm going to get my Flu vaccine and my first Shingle injection in the morning.
Congratulations on getting your second Shingles injection. Shingles are a painful thing. It's a gift that you do not want to keep getting ie; the site pain.
So far, I cooked them eggs, oats, plain yogurt, their purina/omega layer feed, sprinkle of chick starter and the egg shells into a dish of mash. When I went outside, they heard the screen door and came running! Clucking n yaking and squawking up a storm.. I love watching them waddle/run. Lol...
It poured buckets of water for a couple hours. My crazy girls were out in the open field. Soaked with lightening cracking and thunder roaring over head.
I couldn't believe they were out pecking for bugs unaffected by the downpour.
Crazy girls.
Looks are deceiving. Trust me, she would kill those chickens in a split second. I've been working with her but, if don't keep her advanced obedience training on a top par, those chickens would be dead.
Her stay down position took a lot of control for her to do.
After two minutes, I went to...
I sat out in the run and gave the girls snacks. They received
Red cabbage leaves, Grits and strawberry tops.
I also did chicken obedience training with my King Shepard. This command is a tough one for her.
Today was another good day.
Both Breeds use their dew claws like a thumb. Know to climb fences, open doors ect. But the thought of them killing the majority of your flock is heartbreaking. So sorry.
I am SO VERY SORRY to read about your news.
I am speechless. 🙀
I know your not looking for a pity party but, I would have to set those dogs up and make sure they Never leave.
My heart aches for you.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Yes, understood. I was afraid to leave them in case...idk. But, how or when will I know what to do next? I brought them in with me, made sure they ate and I let them drink a bit of Hydro stuff because...Idk why.. because.. except they might be stressed? Idk. Turned on the heat lamp like 90...
Im trying to get them acclimated. I don't know how I'm suppose to do it but, I thought I'd start to give this a try and give them routine exposure to the chicks. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Me, I introduced my 1 week old chicks to the newly matured Hens. I kept them safe in my small animal trap, fed the girls watermelon, apples, strawberry tops next to the trap and took pictures. And then....Henny Penny Photo Bombed!!! Lol
