Hello Everyone, I have a 3 week old chick with sour crop. She was born with wry neck which resolved, physically, with selenium and B. Yestersay she was sluggish, still moving with the crew but her crop was big which i noted for the first time, visibly. I put her in another brooder, with an older...
Oh thank you sooooo much! What a relief!!!! I treat these little guys like kids and was so worries something genetically was going! Thank you so much, I will sleep better tonight :).
Hi Everyone, thank you in advance. I have 4 white Bresse chicks. They are starting to get what look like purple 'bruised' spots at their wing/shoulder areas only. No where else and all 4 have them. They have plenty of room, no rough play, safe and inside....any ideas? Thank you in advance :)...
I know, thank you and I am sorry for your loss, it is a learning curve for sure! I do have the additional temp/humidity gauges and actually have better hatches in my Maticoopx then my way more expensive Brinseas. This was just an odd occurrence with how it happened, so it definitely bugs me.....
Hi Everyone, I am always worried about my hatches, I love my babies so much. I monitor temp/humidity closely, esp as I had recently been having issues with shrink wrap prior in my old Brinsea Eco Minis. I just had 2 successful big hatches via a new incubator which I love (Maticoopx) including...
I just had my first serama hatch. Day 20, pipped yesterday. 5 more have pipped. I am so worried about shrink wrap. That happened in my old Brinsea Eco Minis so this new Maticoopx incubator has been awesome. I stopped turning at day 16. Temp 99.5 and prelockdown humidity 50-55. Lock down humidity...
I checked all of the eggs, three more had 'live' but very weak, almost deformed looking chicks. Everyone had a sizeable non-absorbed yolk sac. I am crushed, everyone passed away....I appreciate everyone who responded and offered kind words. It gets me every time. This (serama) and my last hatch...
Thank you, I have the incubators in an area that is stagnant airflow wise. I have the mercury thermometer each Brinsea came with as well as an analog and digital thermometer in each. I am so upset. I appreciate the kind words. I feel just awful....
Hi Everyone,
Thank you in advance-I am desperate. I have hatched seramas before but this time I have issues. Today is day 21 (these were shipped eggs as a side note). I have at least a half dozen eggs in lockdown in my Brinsea Eco. Temps have been at 100, humidity 30-50% and at lockdown...
Hi everyone, I always appreciate the help I get from this site, you guys are excellent! I hatched these eggs about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago from Georgia that I received from eBay and they were supposed to be a varied mix of orpington colors. All three look the same (are they chocolate orpington?)...
Hi Everyone, thank you in advance for your help! Happy Spring! I haven't hatched chicks for quite a while, but was interested in incubating some Orpington eggs. These eggs survived a lot from shipping to mishandling along the way, and they're hatching! So far two are completely out of the egg...
And yes, lol, this OP and I have almost the same original threads so I got mixed up! Chicken trauma mixed me up! Sorry everyone! Lol, will go back to my thread ;)
