Chickens have always pecked through some dog poop. We recently started treating our dog for ticks with external tick/flea treatment. Anybody have an idea if external tick treatment will make it into the dog poo?

Relocated my homestead to the great free state of South Dakota. Never delt much with ticks in large #'s in the Pacific NW. Is there a breed of chicken that is the world champion tick eater? Dogs coming in with ticks daily, I know I'll always have ticks so increasing my flock for pest control...

2 chicks are hatching as I speak. 4 other eggs have small cracks in shell, don't appear to be completely through membrane. Is this normal will they eventually break a hole through shell? Today is day 21. Alot of pressure on old dad here to deliver:)

Would you open the vent fully as instructions say if I can't keep up humidity?

Kebonnixs 12 incubator say to open vent all the way last 3 days. I can only keep my humidity at 50 with it 3/4 shut and it wants humidity up to 65% last 3 days. Any suggestions??

Well I'll have to keep eye on it. Maybe I'll lock them out for a day or 2 to see if that helps resolve.

New layer is pooping in nesting box either before or after laying eggs. Frustrated because it's the box all the ladies like to lay in. Not sleeping in box just pooping. Any tips or tricks to stop the behavior? Thanks!!!

Had a laying chicken hunker sunken down stopped moving died day later. Coccidia? Thinking I should give flock a preventive corrid dose just in case? Any thoughts?
