Since I only use it when needed it’s the higher % that are a big reason why I prefer poultry cell. With poultry in general being much smaller than people the small percentage differences might not seem like much, but it makes a huge difference for their little bodies. Think of it as having the...
Nutridrench only has a guarantied analysis for the lysine, methionine, calcium, vitamin a, vitamin d and vitamin e content. Poultry cell offers a guarantied analysis on every amino acid, vitamin and mineral that it contains. Not only that, but it has a much more complete amino acid profile vs...
I collect antique leather bound books and some vintage leather bound. I just keep them at my desk right now, but my husband is building me a humidor bookcase for some of my older ones especially. The oldest I have currently is a French 1840 copy of “The History of Charlemagne”. I have a 1862...
Is she acting broody at all? Mine start tucking themselves away in the nesting box for longer and longer periods of time when they start to get broody, but aren’t quite sitting yet.
They are the little guys in a big world and are trying to establish their standing in the hierarchy. Why wait to be put in your place at the bottom if you have a fighting chance to be at the top?
It’s the equivalent to the boys on football team all showing off because the cheerleaders walked by. Nothing to do with independence once the testosterone kicks in. Just a bunch of meat heads trying to prove that they’re the better man for the job.
The last time I was at Cracker Barrel a waitress walking by had a cup of coleslaw slip off her tray only for it to land in my lap and all over the aisle next to me. She did not apologize, offer me a napkin or even bother to clean it up off of the floor. An older gentleman almost slipped in it...
Is the yolk sac fully absorbed on its belly button? If so how long ago did is disappear/absorb? Do not force feed it. When ducklings hatch it can take 24-48 hours for it to eat only after the yolk sac has fully asborbed. Until then it lives off of the absorbed yolk.
Does anyone raise sheep for meat or milk? If so what breeds do you have or prefer? My aunt and next door neighbor growing up had a larger sheep farm with katahdins (around 100 head) so I am leaning towards those because I am very familiar with them. I also would like to raise sheep for milking...
Just color leakage showing through resulting in poor markings. If you were showing it would be considered a fault, but it’s not uncommon either for a purebred hatchery chick to be poorly marked and not up to breed standards.
Do you have a picture of the entire chick? I’m leaning towards just a hatchery quality GLW with leakage because from what I can see those other feathers are golden laced, but without seeing the comb and whole bird I can’t say 100% it wasn’t in the wrong bin.
