Well, I have had a few more birthdays since I last stopped by. :) The older my grandkids get, the more I wonder where they came from and how they are getting so big when I haven't changed a bit. ;)
. I’m ok, I think. Thanks for asking. :)
So sorry for the losses. Sounds like you have a good plan in place to combat the gnats. I’ve never heard of them killing poultry before!
Thanks Al. It really has been a long time. :hugs
I had around 20 chickens and we were drowning in eggs and didn't want the ongoing feed expenses. My neighbor has 2 daughters that both wanted hens, so I sold them each 5. One little grand-daughter was so excited when they came to pick them...
Just some random EEs and OEs - still have my Blue Wheaten Ameraucana rooster.
I sold half my flock to downsize a bit, and my neighbor is almost done with her coop and wants some of my hens, so I'm going to raise a few replacements.
Dusted off the incubator and totally forgot all the settings I used to use. It's been a long time so I thought I'd stop by and do a bit of research.
Miss you guys!
. Oh I could hit water anywhere I dig under my property, it’s only 6-10 feet underground since we are close to the river.
It’s just when it’s 95 degrees with 5% humidity and a breeze, it’s like standing there with a hair dryer blowing on them all day.
Kinda sucky this year. Got too hot too fast and everything’s a bit stunted. Having surgery during prime planting season didn’t help either. But the monsoons are starting so we get clouds and a bit more humidity so that will help.
You doing ok Deb?
