Can't have a basement either, unless I want to blow it out of the solid rock. And, that would be silly for a trailer.
So all my babies are inside with me, and the place is filled to capacity (and beyond) right now. But it's still getting cold at night. Had to put my heater on a few times still.
Last of this year's should hatch mid-June. After that, only eggs that broodies left behind will be placed in the incubators to hatch.
Good season, barring that 60 hours power outage. I think I got close to 90% hatch rate (wasn't keeping tabs).
Now I *really* need to make some outdoor brooders!!!

I won't be seeing what these turn out to be as I have them up for sale right now. Tempting to keep one back, but I already decided which three I'm keeping.
I need to go to our feed shop and grab stuff. Forgot it was the long weekend, so they'll probably be closed until Monday/Tuesday.

It was just closer and easier going south than going east/west. Provinces are also much bigger than states. Yes, even bigger than Texas!

Unfortunately, the 'open border' between Canada and the States now requires a passport. Used to be you just drove up, without ID, and could go anywhere. I think I visited more places in the States when I was a kid than in my own country!
At my end of Canada, you have to cross the St. Lawrence...
I love the taste of quacker ducks. And yes, Muscovy do taste different. Some have compared it to roast beef. Haven't had it often enough to confirm or deny.
