no. it's because i have an organic farm. i must have eggs or day olds. and i've learned, while fun and interesting, buying eggs is not the optimal way to go.

i can't tell if this bird is has a couple of feathers for a tail or if they're just wild feathers that sticks out. Can anyone tell me?

you will get both white eggers and blue eggers from the araucana / leghorn mix. you will also get both tailed and rumpless. i have a "blue egger" flock (small, three or four) - - they were originally crosses of the same. i opted for the small frame and tail. i like them a lot. and they lay...

cute chick. where are you located? outside the US? this bird looks like some Australia araucana's i've seen, but definitely not a US araucana. at any rate, i have a difficult time with top hat breeds in deciding sex. that said, if the bird is crowing, it's a rooster.
you absolutely should not give out the breeders name - - - especially without talking with them first.
