My boy is either a Blue gold birchen or a blue with gold leakage. So you could get some blues. I have only hatched a few eggs from them. I have hatched a couple of splash.
You can see his splash baby in the background.
Hi Pink... Just checking with the Marans thread. Miss everyone here. Decided to not breed the wonderful Marans. Well at least not now. I still have my girls I hatched from Pink. They are lovely birds. They just went into a breeding pen with my Araucana roo. They should make some great...
Thought I would share the listing for the Puyallup Fair poultry show... This is what they had listed for the classes of birds. What is that last bird? Debi I thought you might appreciate this.

Pink, no need to apologize! I think my girls are lovely. They are my favorite girls I have hatched so far. I do so wish they did not have the comb issues. I think I may have to re home them to keep the temptation of breeding them away. I did cull my two boys. It was very hard. The one...
Thank you... I think they have great shape too! flgardengirl one of the BC does have one stray copper neck feather. Unfortunately, the comb issue appears to be a sprig. Now I believe Pink has taken the culprits out of her breeding program. It is too bad. These are the first girls I have...
Good morning everyone. Love that splash roo. That Birchen color is to die for. I do believe it is my favorite color! Just wanted to share a few pics of my girls from Pink. I just love their shape. They have been laying pretty much everyday now. I wish I could use them for breeding. Again...
Been a while since I posted. My girls from Pink have started laying. Still little pullet eggs, but the color is quite nice. I love theses hens. They have beautiful shape. They will not be used for breeding since they all have the stupid comb issues. I really enjoy them and I will have them...
Poor Gnarles... My Gnarles boy is penned away from the girls now. He still tells them if a stray cat comes into the yard and he so wants to be with them. I wish he did not get that stupid comb gene from his dad. His comb and the second toe feathering is one too many faults. I wish he did...
Well I feel like I am missing out! My girls have not started laying yet. They do free range. I might have to go on an egg hunt and see if they have a hidden nest. Congrats on your new eggs Debbi.
Hope everyone is doing well. I am overwhelmed with roosters at the moment and have run out of pen space. I need to get rid of some roos. I have decided I can not keep one roo who I think will be a good project bird. He is fathered by Pink's Bill and is turning into quite a big handsome...
I do think there is something to the red thing. I had a BC roo who never attacked, but he would chase after me when I carried their water container with the red base. I thought it was just the water container. Never thought of the red base.
Here is some pics of my boys combs. This is the Bill boy...
And the Gnarles boy...
I am not sure if I should be concerned. Is this what you were talking about Pink with the odd extra point Pink? I think they are good looking besides. I hope you can see it in these photos.
