Plants are all coming up, the garbanzo beans however are not doing too well, reseeded three times. I need to cage the tomatoes and put up lines up for the climbing beans.
Reseeded some of the rows then same day I received the rain I wanted. Still deciding if I want to borrow/ rent a truck to buy some cattle/ hog panels to make some arched trellis.
Got the expansion to the garden done yesterday, took 2 1/2 hours still could have done more to it, but ran out of time as I had rented the tiller. Found quite a number of large rocks, I still believe this area was either a creek bed or they used a lot of rocky fill back in the 70's.
It rained...
Took today off for family matters, once that was taken care of I got to have half a day to myself. Got most of the plants in the basement potted up and taken out to the porch to harden off. big storms to roll through tonight.
Better weather today, dug out mulch from the pile, to help with erosion. pulled weeds from the garlic patch. Back yard still to wet to mow, swapped to weed-eater mowed everything else. Front Garden is still too wet to till. Asparagus bed is fruiting, third year so I should be able to harvest...
Garden is still too wet to expand, back yard is a swamp. Bees are doing well, finished three additional hives. Plants in the basement need to be up-potted before they become root bound.
Seedlings have come un in the basement, outside is a swamp and becoming more of one as this day progresses. Ruff weather (good sleeping nights are supposed to happen tonight, see how many tornado alarms I can sleep through this time. I am finding my onion seeds just are not playing this year...
Received 90% of my seeds that I start in the basement. Heard we are supposed to receive some more winter weather after the warm we have been having lately, some of the fruit trees have starting to bud... not ideal..
Yep, its what some farmers use to Worm their pigs. Use it to dye traps, make home made stain for furniture, home made Italian liquor called Nocino, among many other things.
