Your pie sounds delicious Jim. All my fruit trees have a lot of blossoms this year. I enjoy your run on sentences Jim. Like a meandering river. My husband burns all those short boards. I sometimes hide and hoard them.

Except for the warmer temperatures, and smoky atmosphere I'm good. Reminds me of going out to the bars back in the 80's.

Not happy the Canadian wildfire smoke is back. Is this a whole new fire or has it been burning since last year? Barb, cat and rabbits multiply like crazy. Hopefully you can get her spayed soon. :frow

Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

I decided today to just plant the rest of my garden boxes, corn, green beans, chard, beets, carrots, squash. Hopefully by the time it comes up all risk of frost is over. We still will need to plant the bigger patch of corn, but that's currently waterlogged. Also have been harvesting asparagus...

Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

Barb I had that happen will some ducks I kept decades ago. The Drakes messed up the eyelids of the hens so badly they couldn't see. It's one of those hard lessons I've learned about not keeping too many males. I try not to get too attached to my outside cats, but it is hard. They have names for...

Barb the female pilgrims are too expensive. I had a male pilgrim a few years back. Very pretty, but he kept attacking a batch of young goslings. I decided to remove him, and regretted it ever since. I'm hoping if I get another I won't feel so bad. So wet here too. Maybe I should be planting...

If you were closer Barb I'd take a few off your hands. I have 8, so what's a few more. Unfortunately cats are so disposable. A goose? Chinese are loud. Kinda hope he ends up yours. I have some on order coming in two weeks. I wanted some whites. My 10 want to hatch their own, but I've been...

That must of been noisy. I had one cockatiel bought at Wal-Mart back when they sold birds. The screech split my eardrums. They are great little birds otherwise. Probably should have gotten another instead of an Amazon parrot. So the shop is your secret laboratory Jim?

No windows Jim? That might drive me crazy not being able to see what's going on outside. Did you have a cockatiel Jim? I'm getting out of the house bird business. Unfortunately the parrot will probably outlive me. Barb how's the kitten situation? Hopefully they have stopped multiplying.

Hopefully they told them how much it would cost before treatment. Veterinarian care is getting more expensive. I'm thankful it's still more reasonable around here. The downside of it they don't have the ability to do certain tests or provide certain treatment. Some dogs I would have sold my soul...

We will see this year if smaller plants establish faster. Be nice as I don't like those long leggy ones I always end up with. My goal is always to get a tomato by the end of June, so the clock is ticking. Come on tiny tomato plants. If it works next is to direct seed inside the water walls.

My puny tomato plants are looking better today. I was afraid I shocked them too much by tossing them out so quickly. Thankfully these cloudy days will help them harden out without too much sun. The waterwalls are staying warm enough for them.

Barb your kittens are multiplying like rabbits. Weather is pretty dreary out. Hopefully it helps to get some more plants growing. Need it to warm up so the bees can fertilize all the blossoms on my plum trees.

Been a long week here with husband on vacation. We filled my waterwalls today and I decided to just plant my puny tomatoes out in them as well. See how it goes. My lettuce and radishes are coming up. We changed the livestock fencing yesterday. We made one area. So far the mingling is lack...

When I have confine my outdoor cats they either go into a rabbit hutch or larger dog crate. Not sure if you have either about. At least the males don't need stitches removed, so it's mostly confining them for a week or so.
