Oh yes, multiple worm species can infest a chicken. But Safeguard covers all of the most likely ones, the most common being round worms.

Got it. I’ll probably do a 5 day treatment just in case then and repeat 10 days from now. I’ll post updates along the way.

Update- she is back to life. After about 4 days of deworming with the safeguard she perked up and I let her rejoin the flock. Just did the second round dose this afternoon.
She hasn’t started laying again yet, so hopefully that will change soon. But otherwise she’s a happy chicken again.
