What is this button-like thing on my hen's skin?

UPDATE:

The vet saw her. It was a feather cyst. He removed it pretty quickly. Because of its size, it was about to rupture the skin anyway. That's why it looked so bruised. No infection, just the feather and fat.

He punctured the cyst with a pair of scissors, and then, as he opened the scissors, the skin ruptured and we could see what was inside that "button". He used tweezers to remove A VERY LONG feather and the surrounding fat-like material.

By the time the cyst was 100% empty, the hen had a little, empty "bag" made of loose skin. The vet stained a cotton swab with iodopovidone and inserted it in the "bag" to clean it.

As for the other lumps I had spotted, these were not feather cysts but sebaceous cysts. He removed them by looking for the pore and gently puncturing it with a needle. Almost automatically, the contents of the cysts came out. He pressed the cysts a little bit to get them all out and repeated the cotton swab thing.

There was minimal pain and minimal bleeding :)
