I also kept them air cell straight up for the first day I had the eggs. The next day I put them in the incubator for 4 days air cell slightly up with no turning. All the air cells stabilized.

I hand-turned 3x per day. Not a full rotation and kept air cells slightly up.

We got 12 healthy chicks which I'd more than we expected!

The chicks were in the biggest tote we had which was super tiny for them. They are 2.5 weeks old now. I started noticing the poop on the puppy pad was surrounded by big wet spots. Then there were 2 little poops with blood in them. Same morning we gave them Corid water (2tsp in a gallon) and...

I believe possibly the other 7 would've hatched but the night the last chick and 7 eggs were in the incubator I made some mistake and it said the temp was only 96 :hit8 days later I finally turned off the incubator and opened one of the eggs. Saw the fully formed chick and didn't open any more...

We got 13 chicks! 12 of them are still alive and healthy. One had a slipped tendon and infected hock and sadly didn't make it.

We have 12 sicilian buttercups in a Walmart tote and need to expand :barnie

Update: Sadly, he passed away. I am glad he's not struggling anymore and I'm so sad I couldn't make him better. His name was Blessing.

My baby chick can't stand up regardless of all we've done, so he is in a chick chair. He is still too weak to get the food and water in the chick chair. He acts like it's hard to breathe sometimes and all he's getting is what I feed him in a syringe. I can see the hock bone and the Achilles...

Has anyone had success treating an infected hock in a tiny chick? She also has spraddle leg and slipped tendon/twisted tibia, but unless the infection can be eliminated I don't know if she will even survive.
