The crop feels like it has some material and liquid inside of it. It seems to feel like a crop should. It also does not hang down like pendulous crop. Here are some images of it helps. The feather loss is just from a different hen pecking her but she has shafts growing in.

The reason your hens are loosing feathers may be because of the Roo picking at them in the night just to tear off feathers but not drawl blood. I use something called “pick no more” and apply it to the spots where I suspect they are being pecked.
