Hi everyone, I have a hen that used to have impacted crop but has been cured. She was my top layer and now multiple day after her sickness has not gotten back into egg production. Should I be concerned? She seems to be practically herself again except for the egg laying. Is the any natural...

    Weird crop problems

The crop feels like it has some material and liquid inside of it. It seems to feel like a crop should. It also does not hang down like pendulous crop. Here are some images of it helps. The feather loss is just from a different hen pecking her but she has shafts growing in.

    Weird crop problems

My hens crop (I believe) has been impacted for 2 days. Now after treating her, and massaging her it has become soft. The crop seems to feel the proper way, but it is extremely full even after a night of fasting. I do not believe she has sour crop because her breath smells fine but I am unsure...

    Impacted crop?

I have a hen who will walk around her run very slowly and not stick with her flock. I have felt her crop and it is very hard maybe impacted. I plan on using olive oil and massaging the crop as well as isolating her without food. Should I give her grit or not, also could an Epsom salt bath help...

Hen just dropped 2 soft shell eggs, Plus she is loosing feathers. Need advise

The reason your hens are loosing feathers may be because of the Roo picking at them in the night just to tear off feathers but not drawl blood. I use something called “pick no more” and apply it to the spots where I suspect they are being pecked. As for the leathery eggs if this has happened...

    Guinea pigs!!

I could contact a vet but they may charge a lot of money. Do you think if I took him into the rescue the workers could tell me?

    Guinea pigs!!

Thanks for the advice! I will probably get him another friend very soon and I do agree about getting another male but as @BullChick said it all depends if he is neutered. I am not certain of that because I adopted him. Does any one know how to check? Thanks!
