The Moonshiner's Bootleg Incubator Reviews And Discussions

Are you talking about the wyandotte and other eggs you had shipped? You should have much less than 20 days to go. Lol.

It could be be a royal palm. Just watch it and see how it grows out. It does have some faint black markings coming in.

So cute! They look like they're living their best lives. Lol

They were putting on quite a show for little fellers. 🥰 It must take some practice to tone the muscles to fan their tail and raise up all their feathers as a bird matures. I noticed that when they first start out they only strut in short displays, that get longer and more proficient as they...

Maybe some quackers or waddlers but no strutters. 🤣

Glad you saved them all! That's quite a brood! Can't wait to see pictures of them as they grow out.

They look more like tiger bronze or cornish palms, not sweetgrass. Porters calculator says semi penciled tiger bronze and semi penciled sweetgrass are the result unless the hens were semi or fully penciled. My semi penciled sweetgrass poults don't have all the black markings. They look like...

Aww! Semi penciled tiger bronze babies. I would love to get some tiger bronze one of these days. I'm hoping Harvey and Ghost throw one or two! 🥰

Hopefully the 3 hatch! My experience with malpositions pipping at the wrong end isn't good, but I have had one or two to hatch just fine. Let us know how it goes!

Usually pipping at the end happens in shipped eggs where the egg gets shaken up and damaged but can also happen if you accidentally set eggs in a turning rack with the air cell down. Are they shipped eggs?

My Narragansett poults are early strutters, and apparently blacks too as a tri color mottled black and a rusty black poult from my December hatch strutted before a week old. Must be something about black turkeys. And every time mine have strutted that early they have been for sure males, so...

Yes he already acts like the boss in the brooder. He is from my friend's turkeys, I hatch her eggs for her. I have another from the same parents that is a couple weeks older, but has brown on its head and more diluted looking. They are off a phenotypically barred slate looking tom and tri...

Had a black poult trying to strut and gobble at just a few days old the other day. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. The little chirpy gobble was so cute!

What are the ones with the markings? They look like my cornish palms and red phoenix. They are so cute!

    Grumpy turkey

They pack quite a punch when they are grown. The turkey is imprinted and has no fear of you. If it is already acting aggressive at 4 weeks old I would hate to see how aggressive he is going go be towards you when he is grown. You can try getting him a turkey companion around the same age and...

Royal palms would have black markings by now. They look like whites and the other is a bronze or red bronze. Are they heritage or broad breasted?
