So when I do tomatoes- that needs to be 45min in the hot bat?

I do my cucumbers- pickles- at the end 15 minutes in a hot water bath. I suppose it’s to seal and kill.

So, I do the pickles for 15 min in boiling water, so that and citric acid will help keep tomatoes from going bad?
