All I did in my garden today was look at snow......:cool:

Plan to sit down tomorrow with seed catalogs and start working on this years garden.

I've got the opposite problem. My tomatoes are doing better than my pepper inside. Partly cuz my cat ate some of the peppers.

I have a fake owl above the grapes too. But it's been there a while and they areare used to it being there.

My grapes were so thick they were hanging heavy on the vine then a few days later they were gone......birds got them.

Yeah germination is always the problem for me too....now I scatter a little straw over the seed bed like they do for grass seed it helps hold the moisture in the soil

o Oregano has taken over my yard on places....smells like a pizza parlor when I cut the grass.....I kinda like that....:)

I did spend part of the afternoon cleaning the duck pens and organizing.

All I did today was.... Thin out some of my seedlings ..... Nothing else garden still under a foot of snow... And it snowed yesterday.... But was 60 today the first day of summer for us..... I will put seedlings out in greenhouse for a short time tomorrow to help get them growing better..... And...

You can try.... Every year I get some real strange....... Volunteers.... Some are surprisingly great.

I know... Hybrids have been around forever.... They aren't inserting DNA from other organisms into them just cross-pollination methods

Oh LG I never said you were..... Just started that some of my favorites were is all..... And even needed here. If I lived in longer growing season then I'd probably just use heirloom plants....

I'm no fan of GMO's But some of my favorite tomatoes and peppers are hybrids..... In my extremely short cold growing season they become a nessessity if you plan to get any fruit at all. Just let the dogs out.... Snowing again hard...... We got two feet on the ground now...... Thought winter was...

Wow LG.... I've had good luck with them.... Sorry you didn't. I did have issues with a company.... In fairness I could have given them a second chance but with so many catalogs each year....I moved on too.
