Stollen is WONDERFUL! It is not a very sweet bread. So if you want it sweeter.... add a bit of honey atop it. Mmmmmmm! German pastries are my favs! They have just enough sweet but not sickeninly sweet like american desserts are. Usually the cake itself in german pastries is not sweet at all...
I do both of those things usually. We will eat the heels that are good and most likely the chickens will get the rest after it has sat and dried out a few days.

So. Had take mama to her doc appt. daughter in law was here so i asked could they put my bread in the oven for me. Gave her the temp and an approx time. But also said... it will be quite brown amd firm on top amd when you thump it it sounds hollow. ...... my beautiful loaves of bread has a sad...
I saw a few days ago someone talkin bout reg sourdough starter... the way it ferments makes it easier to digest so some people that are more sensitive than true celiac are able to eat sourdough.

Thank you. It looks amazing! Try lookin for rabbit in a local mom n pop butcher shop. If they dont carry it they may order for you or know somewhere that does have it.
Cool! Ours would love it but we like rabbit. So he is goin on my table. I have tons of beef bones in the freezer for the hounds from our friend who had a cow butchered recently.

Mever had em that way. But omg i am for sure gonna try it! I love dates. I florida i could buy fresh dates in a market i went to. And i miss that a lot. These are butter, sugar, chopped dates all cooked. Then add crushed rice crispies. Make balls while still hot and roll in powdered sugar.
