There are few cases that some hens recovered from internal laying though. You can keep an eye on her. If she suffers, you may want to consider put her down. If she's doing ok, you can wait to see if she will stop internal laying and recover. Antibiotics may help some bacterial infections caused...

Buckeye Hen Suspected Sour Crop Has Green Runny Poop

You wouldn't see any eggs if she's internally laying. If you see some yellow poop, she might have infection from internal laying or even liver problems. If only green poop, just keep her on vitamins and a little bit of oregano leaves to see if it helps.

Buckeye Hen Suspected Sour Crop Has Green Runny Poop

Unfortunately, it looks like she has other underlaying health issues that caused the sour crop. My guess is it could be reproduction problems. You can give her some vitamins and a little oregano leaves to support her immune system. Maybe cover her cage to make it dark most the time, so her body...

Buckeye Hen Suspected Sour Crop Has Green Runny Poop

I get my Buckeyes from Meyer hatchery. I don't think any large hatchery will do extra job to breed their chickens for better health. I usually prefer a local breeder and his chicks are much healthier and friendlier with way less gene defects. Unfortunately, my son wants silkes and I can only get...

In my understanding, if you mix 1 tsp epsom salt in water and give to her, that's epsom salt flushing. When using a syringe to feed, you can add less water. I add 1 tsp epsom salt to 40 ml water for tube feed. I have done lots of tube feeding because the Marek's in my flock causing many cases of...

Some people said once a day, some said 2~3 times a day for 3~5 days. I did once a day for 5 days. Don't want to poison her. Be very careful to make sure the liquid going to the right hole. I always worry about it getting into her lung, so I pulled the tube out if she fought and then tried again.

I believe you can use olive oil. I just switch between olive oil and coconut oil because she's on the oil for a long time. Any Miconazole 2% or 4% cream is ok. You should be able to find Miconazole and Stool Softener (has to be Docusate Sodium 100mg, not other type) any pharmacy, such as...

Buckeye Hen Suspected Sour Crop Has Green Runny Poop

If she already has sour crop, these treatments are not enough. You need at least to give her Miconazole to treat the yeast. If you know how to tube feed, please start epsom salt flushing right away. Always give her probiotics and add apple cider vinegar in her water everyday. I currently have a...
