4 of this batch, and more on the way...the newest is the wet one from a brown egg. (below not from the white egg.)
below is the chick from the white egg. I don't see a comb.(compared to the chicks above.) I like how she is cuddling the brown egg.
I didn't end up setting all the eggs from the first page, and then I removed the clears on the eggs I did set, I had 16 after the clears, and 14 after day 10 and pulled 2 quitters. I now have 14 on day 14. My long eggs were clear, but the round egg is still going.
Round egg today. And we have a power out. The are staying in incubator. If the power is out for longer than 12 hrs I have a brood hen.
The power out lasted 6 hrs. That is fine.
I don't believe round eggs produce females, since the roundest egg i ever set was a male. So this is not an experiment, I also only have one round egg to set. But we can do guesses on whether we will get a boy or a girl. Tha'd be fun!These are the eggs going into the incubator with the round...
