    Dark Campbells U.K

When getting our recent Khaki Campbells the breeder had a Dark Campbell available. Although reading about them I had never seen one before. Reading further they are pretty rare, and might just be Kitty are dark Campbell but also lovely looking. Does anyone know of any Dark Campbell breeds or...

Wet Feather, and a Fluffy Under Belly?

Just looked at this, not really available in U.K., Amazon do have it bits it’s £104 or 130 dollars for 3 of them. May be DE and keep her from bathing, just enough for her beak and eyes, for a couple of days instead.

Wet Feather, and a Fluffy Under Belly?

Interesting. I’ve always used the stuff in the U.K. on our hens and it’s worked a miracle. A old hen i have had lice and very under the weather, but within a few days she was back to her younger self like it never happened. Just wondered if it was a duck reason not to use it. As in U.K. it’s...

Wet Feather, and a Fluffy Under Belly?

Thanks, really good tips. She was from a duck breed. The dark Campbell looks good but the khakis feathers weren’t great. Very new to ducks, so learning all the time. I have noticed today she’s started to molt now. Can I ask why Diatomaceous Earth is so bad?, in the U.K. any lice and mite...

Wet Feather, and a Fluffy Under Belly?

She’s so fluffy I can’t see any on her back, vent or neck areas. Her feathers when we got her weren’t great, dry, split and no tail feathers, this was only 2 weeks a go. Presumed due to weather as it was very mucky on the ground due to the amount of rain in U.K., and maybe she had molted but...

Wet Feather, and a Fluffy Under Belly?

Many thanks. I’ve had a quick read up, due to the ducks feather quality, ones that are there are quiet split and dry, lack of feathers on belly, I do wonder if it is lice on the feathers. Would Diatomaceous Earth be best? I use this on our chickens and always has cleared anything up.

Wet Feather, and a Fluffy Under Belly?

She is very fluffy down there and not easy to see, but I’ve just checked the gland and it’s wet around it, and when I rub my fingers down clear liquid appeared on my fingers. Can’t see any lice on her either.

Wet Feather, and a Fluffy Under Belly?

Hi, New to owning ducks. I recently purchased a Khaki Campbell, due to the weather she was a bit mucky when I picked her up but thought nothing of it. Her tail feathers were missing and the feathers there seems raggy and split. Feather quality has improved but still no sign of tail feathers...

    Are these Campbells???

Thanks for confirming what I suspected. The drake is lovely looking but as all 3 come from the same breeder I doubt he is a pure breed himself.

    Are these Campbells???

Hi all, Recently added ducks to my chickens. We’ve kept chickens for 10 years and become pretty knowledgable about breeds but last couple of months we’ve got a couple of khaki campbells ducks and a dark Campbell duck for something new.
