I have had all sorts of birds (mostly outdoors) and acquired pigeons last a few years ago. I don’t keep mine indoors so can’t speak to that aspect but they are by far my favorite. If you are prepared for another animal then my suggestion is to go for it, I doubt you will be disappointed.

If a pigeon is on the nest all night it is normal for them to have nasty droppings in the am but depends how watery you are talking. I have also never had indoor pigeons. And you should replace the 2 eggs you take with 2 fakes so she doesn’t keep laying more right away because it takes a lot out...

Well of course I can never remember all the things I need to put so I had to move some perches to make room for the trap and aviary entrance. Also turning my poop door into an outside access water area but will still be able to open it up to scrape through. Pretty happy with how it is coming out...
