When broody they don’t poop on their eggs and also I’ve noticed because of their broody attitude they get pecked when they leave but as long as she’s with a rooster and is not off the eggs for long she’ll hatch some adorable babies
This is what my flock consists of I prefer a mixed flock because of cool new mixes you can get from them like I have buff dipped Orpingtons which are lavender orp a mixed with buff that makes them look like a black Orpington dipped in the buff color.

I think the red one is a hen this is its brother that hatched the same day and already crows idk if it’s because I have him to my friend who didn’t have any roosters or what but he is so much bigger and the other one still looks the same
