here what i got off the bat, mice will take any baby animal small enough to fit in their hole as their baby. There is one mous who rescued a lot of other mice after a storm and ended up with around 47 babies, including her own. another mouse is known to have raised a two baby bunnies!
Mice may be common pests but they are actually quite intelligent and very good at organizing things, thus making very intricate tunnels that can stretch hundreds of feet. They are also essential for bug control.
ik they are so cute! Whenever we catch one in the mouse trap i try to find it before my parents so i can let it go in a different area. they love our chick food, but they hurt the chicks.
mice make very good pets tho they do take a long time to properly bond with, they are naturally skittish creatures. I did try to keep one as a pet but my mother found out. it was sad because it was just etting to the point to where i could let her out and she would crawl on me and not run away. I called her Minnie. (yes i know its not very creative, i just thought it was cute)
Ferrets are ok but you have to get them young or spend a super long time bonding, and they're very rarely cuddly. It's like having a cooked noodle that fell on the ground and got possessed by a demon lol
ferret came from the latin word furritus. It means little thief, which fits since they enjoy hiding things, and finding them! If ferrets dont mate during their heat they can die do to a buildup of estrogen causing aplastic anemia, i think itsw called. They are also crepuscular creatures.
@CrowDaddy exactly, they bond much faster and are more friendly. They also are much cleaner and love organizing things and playing games. Its sad they get such a bad rep, they make great pets!
so rats show compassion and they will take care of other rats, even if they are strangers. Rats also have impressive memory and can remember humans and other rats, and will respond differently to each individual based off how they treated the rat. They are very social and when or if their friends leave and they have no companionship they can fall into a deadly depression. Depression in rats is actually quite common.
