From McMurray Hatchery. I thought maybe one of their "Ameraucanas" at first (EE) because of the leg color, but the comb style is throwing me off because any I've gotten from them in the past have had small pea combs. I know it's still early, but any ideas? TIA!

UPDATE PICS: #1: Still not sure. Remains the largest chick. Much "meatier" than the others. It was a smoky color before getting feathers. Thought maybe a white rock or a white Jersey Giant, but it doesn't have the right kind of comb. Maybe just a huge white "Ameraucana" (name McMurray uses)...

These are chicks I ordered in December that shipped directly from a hatchery that plans hatches. I've ordered from them numerous times and don't get "picked over" birds.

May I ask why you believe they're all EE's? Is it the leg color? I have four of the #6 chicks that all look identical with rose combs. #1 is quite a bit larger than the other chicks and has no patterning at all. #5 & #7 both have single combs, and the breed MM sells for their "Ameraucana" (EE's)...

Update: Two healthy babies! The one that had some of its yolk not yet absorbed seems to be doing well. Strong, and walking around the brooder, eating, drinking, pooping! Most of its yolk seems to have disappeared and what’s left looks dry and unproblematic. I think having almost a full 24 hours...

Update: the third chick hatched out with some assistance. It was thrashing and pushing against the membrane, which I kept adding to Neosporin to and monitoring until there were no veins visible. Then, I basically freed its head and the duckling pushed out the rest of the way on its own...

The first duckling didn't make it. It never was able to get out of the egg. This morning, I checked the coop again, and there was a second dead duckling, halfway out of its egg, with the rubbery membrane still attached. I now have a third duckling working its way from the egg, and it's looking...
