No damage. No trees down. I'm east of Houston and caught a small band that dropped a lot of rain. I'll check my gauge later. But the ditches handled it this time so less than 5 inches.
I survived. Still have power. I know NW Houston is out of power and cleaning up a lot of trees. Hope everyone is good this morning.
The Trinity was flood stage last week and will be flood stage this week again. Drive safe.
All good. We caught an edge and really didn't see more than 30 minutes of rain. Flooding over on the river though is going to get worse again. It was just starting to go down.
Lots of water in the area.
@Kiki I had a decent hatch 10 out of 27 eggs. The other guy had 1 out of 36 hatch with a bum leg that didn't survive. I had 1 with splayed legs and one that I helped out that didn't thrive, so 8 survived.
I think he ran the humidity too high. But how are your hatches? The genetics seem a...
Think positive! Put on a cheerful attitude.
I am not having to shovel snow this winter and there isn't any ice on the roads. I don't have bears in my coop and the family is getting along.
I ran the squirrels off the mulberries and now we have mocking birds and blue jays getting fat. The...
Good Morning!
I was surprised by the weather forecast saying 2.5" predicted. The numbers are usually an average, so we are going to get drowneded again.
The mosquitoes are going to love it. :hmm
I worded that poorly. We have a two strikes and you are out policy.
DOT regulated jobs limit your recreational options. Basically, if you won't comply, we will help you find another career. The Feds are everywhere.
I agree. You are changing a person's life. Sometimes they see it coming. Other times, they are in denial.
We have a zero tolerance drug policy. You pee and fail, you get the option to rehabilitate.
Other companies won't give you that option. I had a good guy choose weed over a good job.
I agree. HR sees the range of emotions. Anger, aggression, disbelief, laughter, denial.
I had denial at the first one. Then I was amused. It pissed off the boss. Good. The best thing they did was send me to another job. I was not thriving there. The HR lady cried because they were...
Driving to San Marcos & the hail got the windshield. No place to take shelter on the two lane roads north of Luling. I think we only got to golf ball size & that was plenty. Scary stuff with bad winds.
My range gauge topped out at 5 inches Monday morning. The water filled the ditches and the yard but lapping at the house was upsetting.
We are getting hammered right now. The storm basins/mosquito farms are still full. Let's hope for a quick, light shower and then it can bugger off.
