Oh and here’s a little DARLING little black baby out of my beloved Nelly, my 5 year old black OEGB, I’m so thrilled to have it! Oh I hope it’s a girl!!!! And the OEGB B.B. red is from a special girl also! And a black Silkie hatched out of the hatchery birds I just sold last weekend. I knew...
I have seven older chicks, from my first two hatches, (a nice black pullet, a blue and two more wheatens, two blue wheaten cockerels and two male wheatens), (just by a couple of weeks), I’m really pleased with all of my pretty babies
Good morning pond dwellers..I have googled this question with no answers! Which really surprises me, simply,
WILL CHICKS DIE IF STUCK ON THEIR BACKS IN INCUBATORS...when they accidentally flip over? It’s driving me crazy, it seems like they would!
Please give me some opinions..
Ok..after today I think I made a good choice on the assisted chicks that had been pipped for almost over 24 hours....so if the move to slows way down. Way down right? Sorry I’m soooo excited and so nervous! I’ll snap a pic of what has survived so far.
My precious little darlings!
But if it’s pipped but seems really worn out then what? I’ve been such a nervous wreck you would think I was expecting my first grandchild which I better not be yet! Lol
This chick pipped about 8 hours ago! It’s been over the 21 day Mark.
Two blacks I lost were full term, it was as if they were too wet? I dunno, it was the Pitts opening the eggs but they were dead both black Ameraucana chicks...
I throw in a very warm wet cloth when I went in and out! My humidity almost didn’t even have to rebound it stayed up and I closed the lid very quickly!
