Hey everyone, I have had radio silence for about a year on my end. I don't even think any of you remember me. That's ok... I'm near Atlanta with about 12 hens and a rooster. Does anyone know where I might find started pullets...I can't do chicks right now. Preferably vaccinated for Mareks and...
The school near me is also hatching muscovy and Welch harlequin ducks this week if anyone wants any. I'm in Atlanta, near Sandy springs for location reference.
So I have the chance to get a few chicks from a local school... Black copper Marans, splash Marans, Andalusian (sp?) and orpingtons. I thought I'd poll the group. I have 11 hens now, but none are the above mentioned breeds.
I'm in Atlanta near sandy springs. I love TC Country, I take all my roos there to rehome and got my last group of chicks from them, but had 2 roos in that group :/. I might go get more this spring since I inherited another coop. Thanks for the heads up

I have newbie questions....
How long after I remove my rooster will my hens lay fertile eggs?
One hen is going broody and I thought I might let her sit on her eggs and see what happens. Am I foolish to think a chick could survive this way? I know many of you use incubators. I'm not really...
@CliffB hey there, do you organize this swap in McDonough? Can you give me details, time, location, how it works? Maybe you can send me a private message? I just need to re home my easter egger rooster, thought maybe I could bring him there.
Hey all, I haven't been on here in forever! I have a beautiful easter egger roo about 1 year old, but it's time for him to go I think. He's just too aggressive towards me and there are not enough hens for him. I use to take my roos to a feed store in canton, but they closed. Can someone...
I hardly ever post, but was going to agree with @Flowerbh, the males do stand up straighter usually. All my new Hampshire reds that I thought were males based on their stance, ended up, males. Something about their beak color too seemed darker than the females.
