I figured that is what was making them look like that-they appeared more elderly than the others when I first saw them. How long do pigeons usually live?
I actually do live in the United States, though I'm not telling where I live any further than that. Red-shouldered hawks and Mississippi kites are the most populous aerial threat I have seen nearby my house, especially because there is a Mississippi kite nest in one of my trees. Not a very safe...
Thank you, I find color varieties an interesting thing to study, even if I am not good at understanding genetics. Also, I had forgotten there were other breeds besides the Ice that had feathered feet!

Thank you for all of your information, this thread is helping me a lot to learn about pigeons! I would love to get some next year, but I tell myself I need to do a ton of research before purchasing any new animal. Plus, I don't have enough to room to house pigeons anywhere. Speaking of Homing...
Now that I'm thinking about it, I have to ask, where do all of you get your pigeons from? I have searched pigeon hatcheries and similar places, but I haven't found any source that look good.
Thank you for the videos! I know what frizzled is, since chickens can have that as well! There are so many beautiful color varieties in birds, that is one reason I love them so much.
