Theyre out in our garage right now and it gets cool at night and doesn't heat up too much on a sunny day. It stays in the high 50s to low 60s.
Will chicks do the "panting" thing if it's too warm?
Thanks for the male quail examples! That helps a lot
Thank you very much idk how to feather sex so I'm waiting to vent sex at 6 weeks. I'm no good at that either haha.
And if my nighttime lows are in the 40s do they need a light at 3 weeks old?
@Kiki you were so right about running out of space. 27 gallon only lasted 3 weeks (probably should have been 1.5). They've upgraded to a 110 gallon water container and are enjoying all their space.
I was asking about close to hatch but the first had exposed organs and curled toes. Second had curled toes but died in about 12 hours.
Neighbor asked me to incubate some chicken eggs and they go in tomorrow. Sanitized my incubator already and my chicks are fine eating and drinking well, no...
So out of 48 eggs 23 hatched. 21 were healthy, 2 had curled toes, the first curled toe chick had organs on the outside and was culled. Waiting to see if the newest one's toes will straighten, its organs seem to be intact.
Doberman but they're two males and they fight a lot. Not my dogs really but my friends dad that I live and work with. One is a blue/grey coat one so we kept him and there was only one other male or of the ten puppies. Grey one is Blue, black on is Bingo. The two year old named them
A guy named Roger in ohio he only breeds for celadon eggs I'm pretty sure all his roosters are the double recessive too. I don't think he's selling online but I can ask.
I don't live too far from him so I drove there to get eggs and 3 5 week old birds.
