It’s very tempting some days 😂
No, because they actually waste about half as much food in there as they do in the winter cages, and since I don’t have a barn cat anymore, less food = fewer mice to deal with 😁
If I could get the dang water system working I’d use them year-round, just probably in...
I finally got the barn cleaned out and most of my birds moved back into the HatchingTime cage. The water system must have frozen again right before I moved everyone for the winter - I filled it and water started pouring out of the plastic pipes 😂 I have them (hopefully) fixed, so I just have to...
Egyptian Fee - hen or roo?
I’m separating the growouts from my QuailCon hatch today. I have this one in the hen pen for now, but I really can’t tell. It’s not as speckled as the definite hens, but it has more speckles than the definite roos.

Thanks! 😊 Surprisingly 6 out of 7 eggs in the Amazon incubator made it to lockdown  I don’t know how many hatched though, I didn’t think to mark them when I moved them to the LG:oops:
I had 3 different incubators going, my Brinsea Mini Advance 2, my Little Giant, and one of those cheap 7-egg incubators from Amazon. I had to hand turn the eggs in the 7-egg and LG, and I moved everything from the 7-egg into the LG at lockdown so that I could maintain temp and humidity for...
