That's how I'm feeling now!! I do have another pipping! I hope I didn't mess it up candling last night!! Ugh! I'm not sure if it just started or of it's been pipping and I just didn't see it!
Ok! Great! Well I will keep a very close eye on them!! This has been the most exciting/stressful thing I've ever done! Lol I hope after this I am better!
Ok I candled last night had 8 clear. I got them out! The one that was pipped hadn't made any progress through the night or today so I helped it out of the shell. I'm glad I did, the membrane was extremely dry and no bleeding at all when I started carefully peeling so I got that little booger...
I didn't pull the clear ones. I wasn't sure if I should. I will do that tomorrow! Already laid down for tonight, I was giving myself a headache watching and worrying so much! Ugh! Lol. Thank you so much for all the help! I'm sure I will be back! I'm a person that worries a lot and need constant...
Well thank you! Now I know. 23 eggs still. But when I candled at day 9 I believe, some were still clear so not sure how many I truly have left to hatch. The one that I posted about above that's pipping now looks to be zipping slowly. Today is the true hatch day. How many days after this should I...
Yes they are alive and thriving! Energetic little boogers! Lol. See this is why I shouldn't Google! Lol I read they can stay in the incubator for up to 48 hours.. while the others are hatching! If I had known to get them out sooner I would have.. ugh. Well now I know. This is all new to me! So...
Oh thank you so much! Makes me feel better!!! I've been so worried! Every time I check on it I still see it's little beak moving, I think I'm just being a worry wart! Lol I will stay posted!
I had two quail hatch and left them to dry in the incubator for 48 hours, I quickly opened it to remove them as they were nice and fluffy and being quite destructive.. when I opened I noticed one egg was pipping and now I'm afraid I've shrink wrapped it... While removing the other two I did...
I have a magicfly forced air incubator.
I do have quail currently. I've had this flock for about 6-7 months now. I've also had jumbo courtnix in the past.
Thanks! I hope to get at least 50% hatch rate! I'd be ecstatic!
Hello everyone! Thought I'd join in! I set 25 Texas A&Ms on January 24th. It's the 9th day of incubation and I candled about 12 and so far 11 of what I candled look to be doing beautifully! I'm so excited! This is also my first hatch so I couldn't be more proud of myself!
