I really hope that my remaining AC survives into adulthood. I want a Polish x Ayam Cemani so badly.
I also want a pair of AC’s, but that won’t happen unless I can lease my friend’s roosters (if she has one.)
I think I owe tax: and happy Mugs Monday!
Nemesis is so pretty. Even if he and Athens...
My last Ayam Cemani was still alive when the chicken sitter came to check on them.
On my way to the airport to fly back home. I have a three hour layover. If I drive home from the airport, I’d get home at the same time because of the layover.
Splotch and Pastel killed an adult mouse and I had to tug it out of their beaks… it was disgusting. I was literally playing tug-of-war with two chickens with a dead mouse.
I need to check my girls… they had it pretty bad last year but I didn’t have the proper stuff to treat them. Now I do, so when I get back I’ll check all of them.
I am so sorry :hugs That is interesting thinking, that the others may have tried to stop her from suffering. I’ve never had to witness my chooks beat each other to death, so I can’t tell you from experience, but that sounds like it could be true.
If I was home when my Ayam Cemani chick died, I...
I’ve been asking around and there is someone else on BYC whose AC’s died around 6 weeks too. Two of her friends also had AC’s who died around the same age. My last baby is six weeks as of today. Hopefully she isn’t found dead tomorrow by my chicken sitter.
I wonder if it has something to do...
Mhm, it sucks sometimes but it is what it is.
If it is a pullet, I wanna breed her with my Polish’s. And if it’s a cockerel, I want to breed it with my Polish’s… I think that it would be stunning.
