Not a project I envy in the slightest. Hope it's an easy fix.

The blackone looks like it could be interesting when fully fledged. I know you are looking for a certain color/pattern for the adults, but is there a color you want for the chicks as well? Or are you going to incubate and brood so chick color won't matter?

If you go to the forum section of the drop down, you can find all your watched threads. I got tired of missing notifications too.

Still have no idea how you get such a clean carcass while skinning. I have yet to skin a bird without making an absolute mess of it.

I had one that ate a few. And a foot off another. It's kind of awful.

I know you got your power worked out to run the heat plate. But if you ever need heat again with no power I had excellent luck during a 3 day power outage with <week old chicks using a half gal mason jar full of boiling water, stuffed in a wool sock. With a couple towels draped over it so chicks...

I raided the local lowes for all their chipped or cracked tiles. Got them for almost free.

I actually went with a sheet of coroplast when I had stackers. Worked well. Still intact 5 yrs later as a roof for what was the bottom row, seperated the stacks when moving, never put them back togethor.

18-24" is pretty standard. Only need to do higher for your benefit. It ends up being wasted space for the rabbits. Make sure to only make it as deep as you can comfortable reach from the access door. No need to have to climb halfway in because you were being cheap and built that pen from a 4x4...

My understanding is that being wethered does not affect the taste any. No extra musk or game difference with the meat. May be a difference in fat and quality but not in the inherent flavour of goat.

I normally wont expect litters till the does are 5-6 months old. And mine dont like to breed in the summer heat. Wether that is on the doe not taking or the bucks having heat sterility or that its just too dang hot when wearing a fur coat!

The most common feral rabbits are the pet variety. Meaties are normally too large and too food or doe obsessed to bother with escaping. And are easier to hit with a 22 the few times they do.

I have a pair, doe and a buck, that don't do well in solo cages and dont get along with anyone else. I'm not worried about extra litters with them because she Will not lift for a buck. Good mama and big litters but needs to be table bred and thats just not pleasant. The doe will being going to...
