Unless you're set on the blue eggs you could always opt for an OE that's half Cream Legbar, half Welsummer. You still get the poof but maybe more of the Welsummer personality? My Welsummer is very easy going though so I wouldn't anticipate a problem with her. I have a very mixed flock though...

I don't mail order but hoping to get 3 more chicks next year. Currently would like a Delaware, a Barnevelder, and... undecided. Maybe I'll let hubby choose. Then again his last choice was a Buttercup that's a complete dud and flighty to boot, so maybe that's a bad idea. :p
