Hey, I’m so sorry to hear about your losses. A lot of people I know are experiencing some pretty sad things right now. Yeah I store my feed in metal garbage cans, but I left this in a box for too long and I just forgot about it.

Free Hi California people. I’m in North Hollywood and I have two 50lb bags of Kalmbach flock maker, 20% protein feed. I think it’s crumble. I got rid of my rooster and I got rid of my younger chickens or they grew older. So now I’m using layer feed and I’m looking to give these bags away. They...

Ya, I personally am ok with the life cycle of roosters. To me they are farm animals

Update: looks like my videos won’t play…. Argh Hey so I am doing take 2 (or 3 or 4) of making the hard decisions and rehoming some of my birds. Ideally I only want to have Opal Legbars and 55 Flowery Hens to breed and then a few others for eggs. I've just got too many chickens!!! and...

I WISH!! We've got those little ankle biter ones that seemed to move into SoCal about 4-5 years ago. I just put dunks in all waterers and do my best not to leave any standing water.. Even so, a couple family members get completely bitten up for half the year if they go out without full...

Hi, last summer was brutal, but my whiting true green, isbar, and Legbars did best. I think Mediterranean breeds, light birds, probably do best.

I have the Opal Legbars, but I've fed them so long and they are about to lay, I'm gonna keep them and let them pay me back now. I'm not sure what you are looking for, but I have some chicks hopefully hatching next week (PS I'm not an NPIP breeder or anything, just a backyard chicken keeper)...

Just fyi if they are hens you WILL get Craigslist takers. I have culled b4 if you haven’t and it’s not that bad. Best if you can find a use for the meat tho even if just for pets

Hi, well baby chick the Opal Legbar rooster above is still available. But I am also trying to be more intentional about my flock going forward in general, so I am looking to rehome TWO EGG LAYING HENS! They are Peppermint Patty 1 and 2, blue egg-laying Ameraucauna-type things. I actually...

They r more people-centered and i wouldn't say mellow. They're part leghorn. My Barnevelders are independent foragers, but nervous around people

I have given away my barnevelders. At this time I have only 2 9-week old Opal Legbar pullets to give away. They tested o/o for, meaning they don't carry the blue egg gene, so they will lay most likely beige to light brown eggs like barnevelders. Here's craigslist...

I actually have had good results from Craigslist. Especially with hens. All the chickens from the post above, except the chicks, are rehomed. Of course, eventually the people get your email/phone number/address, so you have to use your judgment.
