It is also the time of year chicken talk kind of dies since chickens are molting, not many eggs or chicks this time of year so it gets quite. Both thread are current, but the Middle TN is more active.
WOW that is a LOT of HOOP jumping. Nashville didn't have to do that much. I think it is based on SQ FT of lot as to how many chickens you can have (no roosters). There is a fee, not vet required that I know of. I don't think you have to submit plans for the coop......
I am sure it depends on where you are but we have never seen a bobcat at our place. Possum, raccoons, deer, turkeys and coyote are more plentiful. We let people hunt our property and we request they shot coyote. They are taking livestock and pets too much here.
The GREAT news about guinea they will fix the ticks in a very few days to weeks. When we bought our farm we would find 2-3 ticks a DAY! The first spring we had guinea we found about 4 the first of the year then only one or 2 more, this year we have found 4 all total and only one was embedded...
I am heading to Crossville Sunday and I might still be going to Knoxville for the show in Dec. If anyone wants me to bring something just PM me. Here is a link to what I have.
