Running a drain line around the coop is a great idea here.
We also think light is important, so have things set up so the interior of the coop gets lots of daylight from the sides, but has some shade from above.

Awesome offer! We do broody-hatch & raise our chicks, and so far haven't had a problem with cocci, but now that I'm hatching "good" birds I do want to be able to jump on ANY problem before it is a disaster.
We haven't had a problem with it here yet, either. "They" say it is extremely resistant to disinfecting agents, so very difficult to remove from an environment once it's there.
I think maybe we haven't had issues with it here mostly because we've only had birds on the property for a few years...
