You might want to make an apron from 1x2 welded wire a foot or two out from the base of the run, just below the surface or on top of the ground (grass will grow up through it & you'll be able to mow over it this Summer) to discourage tunneling/burrowing pests.
If you didn't locate everything you wanted, you might be interested in knowing that I bought Buff Orp chicks from S/S Woodsboro several weeks ago; $3.75 ea for 5. Supposed to be all pullets, but I'm pretty sure, at 5 days short of 2 months old, that one's a cockerel...no problem. Maybe you'll be...
How much of a hurry are you in? I have 5 Buff Orp chicks, 16 days old, that are supposedly all females.I'll be selling 3 of them, but not before they're big enough to evaluate them.
A word of caution:
If you have a Southern States in in your area that sells chicks in the Spring (some do, some don't), & you order RIRs, you'll likely get Red Sex links, a hybrid. It happened to me. My RSLs came from the store in Frederick. Great layers, but not what I ordered.
If you order RIR's from Southern States you're going to wind up with Red Sexlinks, at least from the Frederick store. I've made that mistake for the last time.

I was trying to quote someone, and discovered I couldn't enter anything, and the reply box and both quote buttons were gone.
I was wanting to do the same thing. I went to the Craigslist for Frederick and found a place just south of town that stacks them up out back, plenty of room to maneuver your truck. They have some pallets they don't want you to take, but the 2-3 times I went there they had a sign on the free...
