Raining today and the atmosphere has turned a sickly yellow green color. Hoping that isn't a precursor for a tornado (which is possible although they aren't supposed to be strong).
I love my wisteria... It IS very invasive though. Pops up everywhere in the yard but I don't mind because DH simply mows it down every week in the normal process of mowing the yard. 😉
I think I saw a video that said you should blanch any veggies that you would before freezing. I have some cauliflower and broccoli I'm gonna FD tomorrow. I'll blanch it before I FD it.
Funny that people consider bermuda grass as invasive and I spend $500/yr seeding it in my pasture. 😂
Johnson grass is a different story though. That's toxic when it gets to mature.
We should start a "plants I hate" thread... 😂 Mine would include
Privet
Pokeweed
Wireweed
Greenbriar
Wild raspberry
And several other unknown weeds that I've yet to identify.
It's a completely separate coop. Only about 5 ft x 6 ft inside the coop. I actually built it for Silkies but converted it to a bachelor coop when I got rid of all my Silkies. The attached run is about 10 ft x 16 ft. The end of the opposite of the run from the coop is where I have the quarantine...
I wanted to go kayaking on the Mulberry River for my birthday. It's 2 hrs from our house so we decided to rent a cabin tonight near the area. I reserved it on the VRBO app. Well this morning we had to run to Kubota dealer because they forgot a part that we need to hook up the bush cutter...
I love Mimosa trees, even if they are invasive. I have 2 on my property although both are babies and haven't flowered yet. I collected seed pods from the mimosas on the wooded lot across the street. 😊
