These little guys are so cute when they grow up too. My second favorite bantams were my lavender Ameraucanas. They were such beautiful birds. I gave Raz two of my pullets and they were some of his favorites as well. I've looked for them for years now and not found any who has them.

Well I got quite a bit done yesterday, as the rain did not set in until during the night (raining ever since). Pulled the snowblower and attached the brush hog/mower to the tractor. I had several stands of mustard that I wanted to cut down before it went to seed. While turning an old hay pile...

I've used those Victor traps successfully as well. I hose them out really good every time, as poop and pee can make them sticky inside and malfunction. I usually use sunflower seed or peanuts

Dreamz, it's not a very good idea to use mouse baits around your chickens. Baits make the mice sick before they die, and the chickens can more easily catch them and eat them. Birds can get exposed to poison that way. That is how many owls are killed, by catching and eating rodents that are sick...

I'm not sure you can kill oregano. It spread out of my garden a few years back and now most of the lawn in that area consists of Oregano - it makes a great lawn, mows well, soft underfoot, and drought tolerant.

Yes, I think you're supposed to wait until the second growing season before you harvest. And then you shouldn't harvest all of the stalks.

They could have gone outside today, it was 67 even up here. But it's supposed to cool off and get damp, not very nice weather for babies.

If they are in a warmer than the outdoors environment then they are still on supplemental heat.

While I hatched at least one Arkansas blue - speckled Sussex bantam mix last year, none of the blue eggs had any development. 13 of 15 for the bantam eggs though at 10 days.

Are they fully feathered, with a cozy coop to sleep in? Are they off supplemental heat? If so they should be fine.
