a good friend of ours has Speckled Sussex (they're one of her favorite breeds) , & she usually has extra males .
i could check if she has any extras, tho there's a bit of distance to travel to our area
i'm pretty sure there is a face somewhere underneath the fluff/crest ......
we are naming her Phyllis, as in reference to Phyllis Diller (or P. Dilly for her "rap name" )
Does anyone in the IN group have any interest in Iowa Blue or Isbar chicks (or hatching eggs)?
i am prob going to incubate some eggs in a couple days.

One of our 4 year old EE hens also seems to take forever to lay her eggs (at least an hour - usually closer to 2+), but that's been typical for her.

We have 4 Leghorn hens
Ours are of the "hatchery/production" type
They lay eggs a lot - some that are too big to fit into a carton.
I had read alot of negative reviews about them, as being crazy-hyper & could be aggressive , tho the ones we have aren't like that.
They are "higher energy" than...
This is what we fed our ducklings for a few weeks - it's pricey, but it's specifically for baby waterfowl
