I've been tempted to try raising quail at some point.. but I've heard that they are not nearly as affectionate as chickens, and that you can't let them free range as they're likely to just take off.. haven't had them to know if that statement is true or not though.- MaddiesMum

Oh thank you thank you thank you!! It looks like Performance Poultry has a lot of bantams that are usually harder to find and aren't as readily available (unless you're in the states...lol ) I'm excited now! WOOHOO!- MaddiesMum

Do you know of any good Canadian hatcheries? I have only come across a few but with limited very selection. Hardly any with bantams!- MaddiesMum

That is the truth! I don't think there is a website for the East Coast but I know we have a buy/sell/trade event thing in May each year.. I only found out about it last year and missed it due to being out of the province I have found kijiji to be helpful enough for finding them for sale but...- MaddiesMum
