Has anyone sliced, roasted & frozen eggplant? I was hoping to do this & then use it in lasagna (not breaded).

I have edamame, borage & squash coming up, yay. I watered. Tomorrow the tomatoes & eggplant go in & then it'll just be reseeding what doesn't come up or what the squirrels/snails ate.

That's exactly what I was thinking - didn't seem to make much sense to me. I do, however, cut off seed stems if they show up early - I'll have to pay attention to that this year & see if it causes any problems. Thanks for the link.

Do any of y'all cut your onion tops back? I'm talking large sweet spanish bulbing type. I always have when they're little (couple inches) but have never done it when they're big. Seems like a lot of people are either YES, for sure or NO, don't be dumb. LOL. Opinions?

I don't because I always plant different kinds so close that they for sure cross pollinate. ETA: or I cross pollinate by hand pollinating if they're under cover.

I love johnny jump ups. I got all the peppers & flowers planted. Back still feels pretty good, I love my new spinal cord stimulator. It's chilly here, I'm sitting here hoping the pellet stove will come on. Have to bring the tomatoes in & cover the peppers. I leave for vacation in 4 days...

Oh I also reseeded some beans I think the snails got & some that just didn't come up. Planting the peppers now & am thinking about a cover for the next night or 2 since it's chilly (low 40s), not for frost but just retain a little warmth. Going to hang onto the tomatoes till Tues, then plant.

Either I was reallly sloppy with the carrot seeds or there was dill or cosmos in the compost. Could go any way. 🤣 I have no clue what my cosmos are, but they're so lovely I bought more seed this year. My originals are pink or white & get to be 4 feet tall, I bought reds/oranges. Got any pics?

Baby nasturtium? I've never grown it so Im not positive. Also having issues telling carrots from dill from cosmos. 🤣
