He's 2-3 months?
I would expect crowing any time, I have 2 that are 10 weeks old tomorrow. The one started crowing between 8-9 weeks, I haven't heard the other crow yet, but the one that's crowing is the dominant of the two so that stands to a possible reason why the other isn't. No definitive...
This is extremely helpful and I definitely would like to add pics of each bird with egg pics also.
Getting each bird assessment and noted along with hatches is a must do, and any help is greatly appreciated. 👍
I do have a tendency to favor the boys 🤣 maybe because I've only had the 3 BCMs...
There's only the one that's super colored on its wings. Also spotted this little one... I doubt this is the brown spot @Chooks man is referring to, it just struck me curious.
I'm no expert but I think she's nice. Super nice tail, she's chunky (type) and looks like a nice comb. She might be a tad over feathered in the feet but like I said I'm just learning, but I do know that's an easy fix mating her to a sparsely feathered male.
Very nice looking for hatchery...
Please do...👍
I started a notebook to write out all the screenshots I have thru out the thread but it's not organized and took too much time. I need to print them out.
As far as my hatches they are just saved on my phone but it's going to cause chaos once I start forgetting.
I really need to...
@BlueTheBrahma
The head count tally is...29
2 Roos - 9 hens
2 cockerels - 6 pullets (9 wks old)
10 hatched from the 2 broodys
I've yet to get individual pics of the 9 wks - (crazy stupid busy)
Due to hatch yet around June 15-16th are the BBS. 6 under Raven and 6 in the incubator.

Thank you. ♥️ Now just waiting on the BBS chicks and I'm done.
I think....
I posted this one over in my thread I started but I'll post it here also just in case there's interest.
This one is a super short 2 min. and not as procedural. Snip, snip...no bleeding.
Need advise.... 2 of Joannie's chicks have toes that are connected. Like they didn't separate or I guess spread out like they should of.
Can the web in between the toes be cut and then will it grow normally then?
Both look just like this.. but one is the same on both feet. The other is just...
11... King, Kong, Joannie, Jett and Betty are originals. Black, Momma and Double Yellow were hatched by Joannie 2 yrs ago (King sire, dams unknown)
And last year, Momma hatched Angel, Raven and Copper. (King sire, dams unknown)
If I was guessing just by egg shape. Angel, Raven and Black are...
" Can't count my Marans til they hatch" 🤣
At the moment... 19 + the 7 so far that just hatched.
23 eggs left to possibly hatch.
If all eggs hatch...39 👍
