    Brown Red Mottled D’Uccles Project

There isn't any mottling in the brown/reds, but I definitely have it popping up in my grays and blue silvers.

    Brown Red Mottled D’Uccles Project

That's so true. Thankfully, the SOP has a description for Gray d'Uccle, which are also birchen coloring. At least there is something to go by! (I also have Gray and Blue Silver Birchen(but that is completely off-topic for this thread!)

    Brown Red Mottled D’Uccles Project

I'm posting some pictures of my brown/reds since a couple of people have asked. Also posting my White/Golds since they are in the same pen and are just Brown/Reds with a copy of Dominant White.

I breed them! They are probably my friendliest chicks! My pen is actually white/gold and brown/red.

    Brown Red Mottled D’Uccles Project

I was surprised to see that they have them at Ideal Poultry. I've got one too now from another source but there aren't a lot out there for sure! I too am working on a new project color which uses the birchen color too. This is my little brown/red pullet hatched out late last year.

    Brown Red Mottled D’Uccles Project

Hi ( I posted in your other thread as well). I'm just seeing this thread. I'm just wondering if you'd ever considered just using a Brown/red D'Uccle for your project as opposed to introducing a different breed in the mix?
