Which ones are you referring to? The way that works is ex: Millie's have the gold gene. ( from buff Columbians) Silver Millie's of course have the silver gene ( from Columbians) Males have 2 copies and females have 1. 2 gold = gold, 2 silver= silver and 1 gold 1 silver= golden. ( in...

Mottling is recessive ( takes 2 copies to show) so to get millie offspring both parents have to have at least 1 copy of mottling each and Columbian background. The odd ones you hatched probably just have 1 copy ( sometimes shown in black ticking on the feathers) as far as getting a splash, both...

My next project: Porcelain x gn ( 2 copies of white) = 100% gn offspring with 1 copy of white carrying lavender. Porcelain x F1 gn = porcelain, mf carrying lavender, gn carrying lavender and creme mottled ( gn with 2 copies of lavender- which will dilute the buff to creme as in porcelain )

Golden necks are Millie's with dominant white added( covers the black so the bird is buff with white spots) a gn with 1 copy of white can have leaky black feathers throughout its body. ( ex: paint silkies) a gn with 2 copies of white won't show any black. MF x gn with 1 copy of white = 50/50 mf-...

lavender x Millie would be just like Millie x black. The offspring will carry 1 copy of lavender though. The calculator says black but the Columbian usually leaks and gives a brown red appearance. But my outcome had to be from my lavenders being made from porcelain. Still the Columbian background

lavender and porcelain aren't the same. lavender is the gene and porcelain is a millie with 2 copies of lavender which dilutes black to lavender and buff to creme. MF x lav + buff columbian split for lavender. it cant be a millie unless both parents have the mottling gene. no f1s would look...

lavender is recessive and the buff in the millies is dominant. the 2 don't mix and you will get varies in the offspring. any bird x lavender will equal the original bird split for lavender

lavender takes 2 copies to show so lavender x millie cant produce lavender. i crossed a lavender over millie and got buff columbian split for lavender and mottled.

mottled isn't a color. Its a pattern. It puts a dot at the end of each feather. It requires 2 copies of the gene to show on the bird. Splash is a bird that has 2 copies of the blue dilution which makes it appear white with ticking.

As for the splash conversation. I have splash d'uccles. The mottleds above aren't splashes. The " golden neck splash" is a blue Millie splash. They look like golden necks since the blue on the blue Millie turns white. Golden neck is a solid buff bird with the mottling gene. The other pics are...

For the Millie x white cross: your white was dominant white so the bird pictured is dominant white with Columbian leakage.
