Hey there, just reading your post. I had a problem with hawks a few years back. We put in a fenced run & I put a scare crow up. Dressed up in my husbands old clothes. Jeans, flannel hoodie & hat with work gloves. Seems to have done the trick. Best of luck with your girls✌🐓

Hey there! I’ve been away from here for awhile. I seem to be back down to one chicken again this year. So I guess I’m living up to my user name. Time to get some more girls. I like to keep my flock small. The one I have now is Domino, a Barred Rock. I’ll make a point of checking in more often✌️🐓🫶🐓

One of my hens is brooding, the other 3 aren’t laying either. The Orpington was in a nest yesterday & I collected Eggs from the past few days & cleaned all nest. She’s back inside the coop but the others are not laying. Is there anything I can do?

Thankyou, she’s brand new. I got her and another Buff Orpington & Barred Rock to add to my one Easter eggar. I like having a sm flock. The Easter is the Sole survivor of last summer & his winters predators
