I like texting for things like ‘hey I’ve arrived’.
But any more than that and o have issues - for instance typing on here is very frustrating - I have to keep going back and correcting errors!
Unfortunately the wee lass isn’t here, she is part of the hatching my niece is doing with her class.
If I had known about it earlier in the day I would have gone immediately and picked her up. Unfortunately I have taken meds for my restless leg syndrome which means no driving!
I have to ask...
Some trouble 😟
Seems the last chick born early this morning around 5am has some mobility issues. I have consulted and chatted with some people on here and it was suggested that she be popped back into the incubator for a few hrs to sleep and get stronger.
So that’s whats happening now, if...
I haven’t seen the wee chick in person, they have popped it back in the bator for a few hrs to let it sleep and get a bit stronger, then if still not good in the morning I will bring her back here with a wee friend, so I can treat her.
Hopefully it is just a bit weak like some newborn foals...
Hard choice! And until this week I would have said go the broody route. Of course Whiskers ruined that for me 😢
Then there is Curly who is the model perfect mommy hen. So I would go that route.
And then there are my 6 older chicks and 2 bantam midgets all running around out and about with...
Seems the last chick hatched seems to have some mobility issues, and one of its legs is twisted, is this splay leg?
And should this be treated immediately? As in tonight? It was hatched around 5am this morning.
And some video of her
Ooooo be careful! CFB Borden is next door here 😁
They are very noisy lately. Usually means they have training for something or other going on. Usually with other countries personnel on site.
That would be sooooo wonderful
😊😊😊😊
I am hoping my one curly chick is a frizzle pullet. But guess I would have to wait to do a gender test to see if ao, and not sure I want them hanging around for 8 weeks.
Oh well what’s another chicken :idunno

It’s a reality of life with livestock that there will be many time when you have dead-stock.
I have lost count of the horses that have passed away, and this oases past week I have had Larry and the two babies die.
The best we can do is do the best we can for our animals.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Yes they will all end up here in a couple weeks time. My niece didn’t like the idea I proposed of her taking them to her place and rehoming them.
So once again Aunt Kelly gets that task.
All four of the silkie eggs have hatched, the fifth egg stopped developing half way through. So only one Curly chick and three Fluffy babies. So disappointed no Henny or Marty chicks 😢
But glad for some silkies.
